Woodview Construction HQ

The headquarters of a construction form, built in a newly developed commercial area on what had recently been farmland. This building presents a very bold, symmetrical form — but it’s no concrete box. The architecture softens, lightens and celebrates its solidness and symmetry.

Woodview wanted to put something of real permanence there, to set a standard for the street in an area where impermanence is the norm for industrial buildings.
Any good architect is driven by context and investigation of what was there before. So when you've got rural land that’s been masterplanned for a commercial future? We had to flip it on its head, take the responsibility for that blank canvas, and be the first to make a mark on it.
